I've been a fan of Lorn's work for a while now and this is yet another shining example of why. Like usual, Lorn pulls no punches with any of his characters (especially in this book!) and I ran the full gamut of emotions while reading this. Even though the two main characters are technically bad people, I couldn't help but feel for them and wind up loving them. I was pleasantly surprised to see a connection to Bay's End (another fantastic book by him) in here with the main characters and the promise of more to come.
If you've never read anything by Lorn, you really need to since you're missing out on some wonderful dark fiction by a great guy. Give it a try and you'll be sorry you waited so long. Highly recommended!
