No Such Thing - Edward Lorn

This enjoyable short story opens with Johan Schmidt trying to raise money from a room of investors. Things go poorly for him until one of the investors approaches him and asks him to meet with her boss who has a very interesting opportunity for him, even if it sounds outrageous. I'll leave it at that to avoid giving away the story but is definitely unique!

This is my first time reading anything by Lorn and it certainly won't be the last time! He hooked me in with the unusual premise and I couldn't put it down until the end. The story had few characters but I find them likable (except the one that was meant to be...different...). Overall a very impressive short story and I look forward to reading more of Lorn's books. Recommended!
